Toulumne River RRC with OARS 5.1-5.3, 2012

Toulumne River RRC with OARS 5.1-5.3, 2012

It has been a busy spring here at Sierra Rescue. I Just finished up a great 3-day course for OARS out of Angels Camp, CA. I’ve said before that Yosemite National Park on the Merced is my favorite site to teach a swiftwater course, but the Tuolumne River rivals its neighbor to the South. The 3-day downriver format was awesome. The Clavey River and North Fork Tuolumne provided great access training sites as well as¬†entrapment scenarios. We saw good medium-high flows and had great weather. Lots of flip drills and boat acess emphasis. Overall an awesome course on a gem of a river nestled in the Sierra. Here’s a few photos from the course. ¬†-ZB 5.7.12
